Operation Chelyabinsk

Chelyabinsk, you may ask where is that...I sure did. Chelyabinsk is at the edge of Europe and beginning of Asia - The Ural mountains. I was invited to fly there and meet some colleagues at a Baltika subsidiary brewery located there. For those that don't know, Baltika  is the largest Russian brewery. So I jumped at the chance. What follows are photos and notes from my trip:
My first glimpse at the airport. We landed with Aeroflot. I can recommend this airline.

The main terminal

Countryside

The university, it was the most impressive building I saw downtown

Kohah :-)

The Brewhouse

Welcome feast

Kwass

Photo opportunity with some good people

A monument to the Russian Tank, many of which were built here

The symbol of Chelyabinsk is a camel, testament to it's former position along the silk road

A hardy city, with good beer!
